"Deanna Tham thought she was going to become a doctor. As far as she was concerned, that plan was etched in concrete. But things changed when she followed her parents’ footsteps and joined band in school, discovering a love for the horn and a talent for conducting. She decided then to pursue music as a career, and it’s payed off."
